Cross-Fit

CrossFit is a multidisciplinary training regimen according to the principles set out by the eponymous brand. CrossFit mainly combines athletic strength, weightlifting, gymnastics and endurance sports. The word crossfit comes from the contraction of cross fitness, so called because it mixes different pre-existing physical and sports activities. CrossFit practitioners run, row, climb ropes, jump, move objects, perform Olympic weightlifting movements and body weight exercises, use dumbbells (adjustable or kettlebells), gymnastic rings, boxes, sandbags and any other object that can be used as weights. CrossFit focuses on ten athletic skills: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, muscular endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, psychomotor skills, balance and precision.
