Winter Sports - Alpine Skiing

Alpine skiing is a sliding sport which consists of descending a snowy slope on skis. It has been an Olympic sport since 1936. There are six disciplines in Alpine Skiing that are raced each year from November to March in the Alpine Ski World Cup and are all present at the Olympic Winter Games and the Alpine Ski World Championships: Downhill, Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super-G, Combined and Freestyle.
