Skating - Speed Skating

Speed skating is a sliding sport on ice. In speed skating, two skaters race at the same time on a track delimited by plastic cones, in the form of an oval, 400 m in circumference in the centre of the track. Each competitor has their own line, and the skaters exchange their lines in each straight section, alternating inside and outside turns. The five main distances are 500 m, 1,000 m, 1,500 m, 5,000 m and 10,000 m.
