Fencing - Epée
The épee is one of the three weapons of fencing (the others being the foil and the sabre). The épée is a thrusting weapon. It is 110 centimetres long and weighs a maximum of 770 grams. The length of the blade is 90 centimetres maximum, its section is triangular. Two electric wires run from the button through a groove in the blade. They're connected to a socket, into which the body cord is plugged in. The button works like a switch. A pressure greater than 750 grams must be applied to allow the passage of electric current through the sword circuit.
