Dance - Jazz

Tap dancing is a dance style that originated in traditional Irish dance, which was exported to North America with the emigrant settlers. The name "tap dance" comes from the sound produced by wooden (in Ireland) or metal (in America) pads attached to the toe and heel of a dancer's shoes, making the dancer a percussionist as well as a dancer.
