Air Sports - Skydiving
Skydiving or parachuting is an activity that involves falling from a height of one hundred to several thousand metres (usually from an airplane, but any other aircraft can be used) and then returning to earth with the help of a parachute. If the person is jumping from a fixed point (bridge, cliff, etc.), then it is called a base jump. After the exit, the skydiver is in freefall for a certain period of time, the duration of which depends on the discipline, the height at which they were dropped and the relative opening altitude. Figures can be performed alone (aerobatics, free-fly) or with other parachutists (formation skydiving) during the fall, and/or under canopy (contact canopy), before reaching the ground by piloting the parachute so as to land at the intended place.
