Water Sports - Underwater Hockey
Underwater hockey pits two teams against each other in a pool. The purpose of the game is to progress, by freediving, pushing or passing a puck, with the help of a specific stick in order to get it into the opponent's goal. The goals are placed on the bottom at the ends of the pool. There are 6 players per team, then up to 4 substitutes on the poolside. In order to differentiate themselves in the water, each team is identified either by the colour white or by the colour black. This colour is that of the players’ stick and cap. The players use a mask, a snorkel to follow the game while catching their breath on the surface.
