Dance - West Coast Swing

Swing designates, in the first place, an essential way of being in jazz, the one that makes you swing, dance with your body in space, giving it a bouncy aspect. The onset of the Great Depression characterised the swing music of the 1930s in orchestras and bands. Supported by a great deal of dance, they were very much part and parcel of the American entertainment of the age.
