Caving

Caving, also known as potholing in the UK, is the activity of locating, exploring, surveying, mapping or visiting underground cavities, whether natural, man-made or artificial, and then sharing one's knowledge. Practitioners of this sport are known as cavers. Caving is therefore a multifaceted activity: scientific, sporting, technical, contemplative. It is mainly carried out in karstic regions and especially in caves.
