Dance - Line dancing
The category of line dances includes all group dances practised individually, either one behind the other, side by side or in two lines facing each other. Line dances can be found among traditional dances as well as among ballroom dances or some rock dances. Some of the best known examples of line dancing are the shim sham of the 1930s or the madison of the 1960s. Country dances also belong to this style.
